The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
My piece of DSP from the "Expressions in Ink" 12" x 12" package, measures 2" x 4". I cut a 1/2" x 4" strip of the striped DSP from the same package. I taped the DSP pieces together. It now measures 2-1/8" x 4". Then I cut a piece of Magenta Madness card stock at 2-1/4" x 4-1/8". I taped the DSP to the card stock and that was taped to the front of the card. I eyed it so the left and top are pretty equal.
The words are from the "Celebrating You" set and were stamped using Melon Mambo ink because I didn't have any Magenta Madness ink. I die cut it with a die from the "Tasteful Labels" die set. And I die cut a piece of gold foil card stock using another die from the same set. I taped the gold piece down and added Dimensionals to the word piece and set it on top of the gold foil piece. Three gold "Metallic Pearls" to the bottom of the words. And the card was done!
This is a very quick and easy card to make. I love it that I was able to use a piece of DSP that would have been considered scrap. I like how the card turned out. I think this card can be used for several other occasions as well.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Mother's Day card,
Wanda
This card is BEAUTIFUL. I especially LOVE the DSP panel you selected!
