The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "New Horizons" 6" x 6" set. I will be saving the strip for a future card. This paper is SO fun and pairs super well with the "Grassy Grove" bundle. I am hoping to play with that set a bit more.
A 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" piece of Highland Heather was cut for the layer. I didn't tape the DSP to the layer because I needed to see what I was going to do about the words first.
I die cut the flowers using the die from the "Artistic Dies" set that went with the "Artistically Inked" bundle. I used gold foil card stock to cut the flowers. I had also used the double-sided sticky sheet so it would become a sticker. I hate gluing tiny areas like that, especially when there are so many.
The words are from the "Celebrating You" set and were stamped using Versa Mark and gold embossing powder. I die cut them using the die from the "Tasteful Labels" die. Then I die cut two more from the center of the Highland Heather card stock.
I taped the DSP to the Highland Heather layer and then I taped that in place on top of the card base.
The word piece as taped to the Highland Heather pieces, one above and to the left and one below and to the right. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place. And the card was done.
Pretty, isn't it? What mom wouldn't love to get that for Mother's Day?
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Mother's Day card,
Wanda
