Friendly Hello, Celebrating You, Mother's Day Card, 2022 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today's card was a lot of fun to make. I'm not a fan of fussy cutting, but there was something good on tv so I stamped what I needed and cut while I watched (mostly listened to) what was on tv.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two 2" x 5-1/4" piece of  Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Friendly Hello" 12" x 12" package. I also cut a piece of Basic White card stock that was just a hair smaller than 4" x 5-1/4" and I taped the DSP to it and then I taped that piece to the front of the card base. You can omit that Basic White piece behind the DSP if you want. I just like it for some extra stability.

I die cut a Basic White lacy circle using one of the "Encircled in Beauty" dies. These are fun dies, it's like making your own paper lace doilies.  Remember those?  I love playing with those on my cards.

Next I stamped the flower from the "Hello Friend" set using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I stamped two sets. I fussy cut one set and then I fussy cut one flower from the other set. I colored them with Fresh Freesia using my Blender pen. The centers were colored in using my light Daffodil Delight Blends pen.

The leaves were stamped using Granny Apple Green ink and they were fussy cut out.  And don't forget that little cluster of three flowers. I stamped them using black Memento ink, fussy cut them out and then they were colored in using Fresh Freesia ink and a Blender pen.

I set the two attached flowers on the circle using Dimensionals. The lone flower was set in place using a couple of Dimensionals on the bottom petals and tape on the upper ones where they would go over the two attached flowers.

I used a dot of glue on the leaves and tucked them in around the flower. And a dot of glue was added to the tiny flower cluster and it was slipped in over the upper left leaf.

The words are from the "Celebrating You" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I chose "Mother's Day" from that wonderful set because I really like that font. It's pretty and when you stamp it, it's SO rich looking.

This card can be used for quite a number of occasions such as Birthday, Get Well, Thinking of You, Sympathy, Wedding, Anniversary and of course, Mother's Day.  I love versatile sets. You can't go wrong with them.

I like the way this card turned out and I wouldn't change a thing!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's card,
Wanda
