The DSP is from the "Flowering Fields" 12" x 12" package. I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece for my card.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it with the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder.
I cut a 2-1/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock for the layer behind the DSP. I taped the DSP to that layer. and then I glued that to the textured piece.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the textured piece and it was set in place on top of the card base.
The words are from the "Celebrating You" set and were stamped using Evening Evergreen ink. I die cut them using the die from the "Ornate Frames" set. I set them in place using Dimensionals.
I added a few "Genial Gems" to the front of the card and the card was done.
This is a very quick card to make. I made two because the piece of DSP I had was big enough for both. I chose Mother's Day because I still had that stamp sitting out. My worktable is a mess! But this card could easily make a Birthday, Get Well, Thinking of You, or even a Sympathy card.
I like this layout and may use it for more cards to use up some DSP. I have quite the hoard of DSP!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Mother's Day card,
Wanda
What a LOVELY card Wanda. I especially LOVE how you embossed the background panel.
