The base of the card is a folded half sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Penguin Playmates" 12" x 12" package and I taped it to the front of the card.
I fussy cut a penguin from the DSP, I added Dimensionals on the back and set him aside.
Then I die cut a snowflake. (I'm not whining here about not having the same snowflake, you read enough of that yesterday!!! LOL). I used some card stock that I had the double sided sticky sheet attached to it. I had made a large sheet so it would be available when I needed it.
I cut a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the center strip. I used Fresh Freesia and my blending brush to scrub on some Fresh Freesia ink. I taped this strip on top of the DSP.
The snowflake was added to the upper part of the strip.
The words are from the "Snowman Season" set and were stamped using Versa Mark. I embossed them using white embossing powder. The Fresh Freesia strip the words are on was cut 3/4" x 3". I added Dimensionals on the back and set it in place 3/8" up from the bottom of the Basic White strip.
I added the penguin and then a few sequins from the "Subtle Shimmer" sequins package. And that was it, the card was done.
I like this card a lot. So much more than yesterday's bear card. I think it's the color that is more appealing to my eyes.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
PRETTY PRETTY card Wanda. TFS!
