The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the pine branches in the "Wintry" embossing folder set.
Then I stamped the candy canes from the "Candy Cane" background set using Real Red card stock. I stamped it on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. Then I cut it in half because I wasn't sure I could make that larger piece work. I taped it to the bottom of the 4" x 5-1/4" piece.
A piece of Real Red ribbon (retired) was taped on the backside using scotch tape and then I glued the piece to the card base.
I die cut the Basic White solid bulb shape from the "Bright Baubles" set. Then I die cut the "Merry & Bright" bulb using a piece of Real Red card stock that had the sticky sheet attached to the back so I could make it into a sticker for easier placement. I am not fond of gluing these thinner pieces on card stock but I will if I have to. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set on the front of the card.
I thought the bulb could use a little bit of finesse so I colored over the Real Red piece with Wink of Stella. If you click on the photo you can see some of the sparkle. In real life it's very sparkly and pretty.
A bow was tied and affixed to the top of the bulb and the card was done.
This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's Christmas card,
