The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
I die cut the scalloped rectangle from the "Scalloped Contours" die set. I used the largest one for this card.
Then I took a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Fine Art Floral" 12" x 12" package. There is a pumpkin color in there that is perfect for fall. Well, I thought so anyway. I cut that piece 4-5/8" x 1-1/4".
The scalloped edge was made by using the die from the "Penned Flowers" die set. I cut it from a 1" x 4-5/8" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Then I taped it to the back of the DSP piece. And that was taped to the scalloped edge piece.
I stamped the flowers from the "Hand-Penned" set using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I die cut them with the matching die and I was ready to color.
I used Blends pens to color the piece. I used both light and dark Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and Old Olive.
For the yellow flower I used Mango Melody (light and dark) and for the center of the flower petals I used light Pumpkin Pie and for the very center of the flower I used the Dark Pumpkin Pie pen.
I tied a Baker's Twine bow around the stem and added Dimensionals to the back.
The words are from the "Art Gallery" set and were stamped using Old Olive ink. I cut the piece on my paper cutter to 3/8" x 2-1/2" and I snipped the corners. Dimensionals were added to the back.
I set the flower in place first and then the words. And that was it. This was a very quick and easy card to make and I love how it looks like a fall card now. I need to make a few more fall cards and I am going to see if I can make some of my other sets "convert"!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's fall thinking of you card,
Wanda
