The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the card base. I opted for glue because it's so textured that I was afraid tape would hit and miss and not hold. I usually do that with card stock that has lots of texture.
Next I stamped the rounded leaf image that looks more like berries than leaves. I used Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie inks. Then I die cut them out.
The leaves were stamped using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive inks. They were die cut too.
And I die cut a large compound leaf using vellum card stock. I cut it into pieces.
The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I die cut them with the 1-5/8" circle die and I also die cut a scalloped circle just a little bit larger. Both were cut from Basic White card stock. I had originally cut the scalloped one using Basic White just to see how a scallop would look behind the piece and I ended up keeping the scallop white. Though a Pumpkin Pie one would look pretty too, or Mossy Meadow. White makes it look more elegant.
I glued the ends of the leaved down first. Then I added the berry looking leaf images. The words were set in place using Dimensionals and then the vellum leaves were glued at the bottom and tucked in around the other leaves.
I would have liked the cluster to have been moved down further but it's okay the way it is. This was quick and easy to make too!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's fall birthday card,
Wanda
