Cutest Halloween, Frightful Tags, Halloween Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

Today's cute Halloween card was found on the internet. I only have a few days left to make Halloween cards and then I will be putting the sets away.  I may be keeping out the "Frightful Tags" dies because there are several of them in the set that can be used beyond Halloween.  Especially the word frame one! You can see the original card here. I did have to make a few changes due to not having the same products.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock was cut and then embossed using the "Painted Texture" folder.

I cut the four strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Cute Halloween" 6" x 6" stack. They measured 15/16" x 3".  It was recommended that you add the outside pieces first and then the center two.  I set them all on the textured piece of card stock to see how they all would fit. It's a tight fit. I snugged the outside pieces to the edge, leaving a tiny bit of card stock showing. Then I added the cat strip and the striped one was added last. I decided to go with that one last because if there was too much of a gap, the dark black strip side would hide it.

The ribbon was added before the piece was affixed to the front of the card.

The words were stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock using Pumpkin Pie ink. The words are from the "Cutest Halloween" set. They were die cut using the stitched frame die from the "Frightful Tags" set. I also die cut two Highland Heather pieces too. I cut them four dots beyond the center point on the sides. I did that for both pieces.  Then I taped the words to one piece and then to the other. Dimensionals were added to the back and the word piece was set in place on the front of the card.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun and super quick and easy card to make. I LOVE using those thin strips of DSP. I have lots of retired DSP strips that I could quickly whip up some pretty cards using this layout.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's Halloween card,
Wanda
