The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
The Soft Sea Foam layer is 4" x 5-1/4".
Then the Designer Series Papers (DPS) from the "Penguin Playmates" 12" x 12" package measure 2-1/2" x 5" and 1" x 5". The trees are the backside of the green dashes. The DSP was taped to the Soft Sea Foam piece on the card base.
I used the retired stitched square to make the Basic White focal piece. It measures 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" for those of you who don't have the dies and just need to cut the piece. And the Soft Sea Foam square measures 3" x 3".
Using the "Penguin Place" set I took out the snow line image and I stamped it across the focal piece using Soft Sea Foam ink. I also stamped it again just behind the fox.
Next the trees from the same set were stamped using Just Jade ink. I stamped once and then without inking, I stamped two more times. On the left the are light, darker and darkest. On the right the are darker, darkest and then the light one. It shows up much better in person.
The clouds were stenciled in. I do not have the cloud stencil so I just took a piece of card stock and cut some fluffy looking bumps in it and stenciled away using a blending brush and Balmy Blue ink. The Basic White square was taped to the Soft Sea Foam square and then the piece was taped to the front of the card. I tried to line up the sides of the square with the sides of the DSP.
The words are from the same "Penguin Place" set and were stamped using Just Jade ink.
Then the fox was fussy cut from a piece of the DSP in the package. He was set in place using a few Dimensionals.
I didn't have the same snowflakes that were used on the original card but I did have snowflakes from the "So Many Snowflakes" dies and I made them work. The were set in place using small Dimensionals.
The centers of the snowflakes have colored rhinestones, they were colored with the dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen because I didn't have the Just Jade Blends pen. It goes well enough with the card to pass! And that was it! Isn't it adorable?
This was a very fun card to make and the fox was not at all difficult to fussy cut out. I just love the look of this card. I don't know what it is about it but the moment I saw it I just had to make it.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
