The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock inside.
The original card link didn't have much help there. I had to figure out the size of the strips myself. They each measure 1-5/6" x 4". I used Daffodil Delight, Basic White and Pumpkin Pie card stock.
I textured the Daffodil Delight one using the "Wintry 3D" embossing folder. And the bottom piece was textured using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I embossed them after I cut them. Had I done them first, I would have been able to make 3 cards from one quarter piece of card stock. But I wasn't thinking ahead until I was cutting the Basic White piece, after the texturing had been done. Isn't that how it goes? LOL
I took the Basic White piece and stamped the words from the "Frightfully Cute" set using black Memento ink. And then I stamped the candy corns from the "Cutest Halloween" set. There's a set of three candies on one stamp and a single one. I put both on my stamping block and stamped around the words.
I colored the tops of the candy corns using my Daffodil Delight marker.
I glued my strips in place, leaving about an 1/8" space between each one.
The bow was made using two 9" strips of the black gingham ribbon and was tied at the same time. Then it was glued to the top of the card. And the card was done.
This was a fun and easy card to make and I do regret not texturing the quarter sheets of the card stock so I could make 3 cards instead of one. Oh well, that's how it goes!
