The base of both cards is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card was cut in half on the short 8-1/2" side so it measured 4-1/4" x 11" before it was folded in half at 5-1/2".
I stamped and die cut the images from the "Forever Fern" set using Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow inks.
The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle die. I also die cut a Cajun Craze card stock rectangle too. If you don't have the rectangle dies you can cut the pieces 1" x 2-3/8". I glued those two pieces together leaving an 1/8" border on the bottom and right side. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.
I set the leaves in place using glue. I started with the taller Mossy Meadow one in the back and then added the Cajun craze one on the left. Then the Pumpkin Pie one was added. The Old Olive wider leafed one was added last. There's two of them. The words were just set on to see where the bottom one would go. Then the bottom leaves were set in place and then the words on top.For the second card, I added a textured strip of card stock to the center. Of course I cut my card stock before texturing it and it came up a bit short so I had to trim the bottom a bit more to balance it out. I should have left it, textured it and then cut it. But it is what it is and it still looks okay.
I really like the words on these cards. They just seem to say it all.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's "Thinking of You" card,
Wanda
Beautiful card Wanda.
ReplyDeleteWandaa, the colors you used are perfect for Fall. I love the arrangement of the pieces. I've saved a copy of the cards in a folder because I love yours! The embossed strip behind the arrangement on the second card really does add a nice dimension to the design.....although the first card is lovely too.
