The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
The layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cajun Craze. Before I taped it to the front of the card, I die cut a circle from the center. My circle measured 2-1/8". I had cut a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White and taped it to the Cajun Craze card stock and then taped those two pieces to the card base.
The words are from the same "Forever Fern" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I die cut them with the second largest "Stitched Circle" retired dies. That circle measures 1-7/8". The circles were taped together and Dimensionals were added to the back.
I stamped the rounded leaves using Cajun Craze ink. I stamped and die cut two of them. I also colored them using my Wink of Stella pen. It picked up the ink and smeared it around the leaf creating a soft looking effect.
The other leaves were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink and were die cut.
I set the word piece on the card for placement of the leaves. I moved the leaves around the circle until I thought it looked best. I removed the word piece and glued down the leaves.
Then the word piece was added and the card was done.
This was a very quick and easy card to make. It was fun and I especially love how the Wink of Stalla pen changes the looks of the leaves. Plus it gives it a bit of a sparkle too!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see my friendship card,
Wanda
GREAT fall looking theme Wanda.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you cut your cajun circle out of the cardstock before you glued it down. I'm always trying to do that so that I do not waste cardstock. The card is beautiful. I hope to make one like it soon.
