Cutest Halloween, Kid Friendly Halloween Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I didn't have to go far to find this card. Grab your Stampin' Up! 2021 Holiday catalog and turn to page 50!  There it is, this card. It was so cute that I had to make one.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  I used a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" of the "Cute Halloween" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I colored the images in using my dark Highland Heather Blends pen.  Or you can use a blending brush and a Highland Heather ink pad, or you can also sponge the color on. I taped the DSP to the card base.

Next I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Basic White and I dotted it with color from my dark Highland Heather and dark Basic Black Blends pens. I saw that you don't need to flick the cover off the tips of the pens, you can just take your snips (with the cover on) and tap hard on the pen and the ink will flick off onto your paper. First I did the Highland Heather and then I did the Basic Black.  I think some Pumpkin Pie would have been cute on there too! I taped it to the front of the card at an angle.

Next I took the black and orange striped image from the same DSP stack and cut it at 3-1/2" x 2-1/2". I marked the center at the bottom and 1/2" up and I cut from the corner to that center mark on both sides.

I added tape to the back of the piece and ran my ribbon across the piece, pressing it down on the back. You just make kind of a "Z" and trim the ends. I set this piece in place using Dimensionals. I tried to set it on straight, lining the top edge of the piece with the top edge of the card base.

Next I stamped three pumpkins. I used Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp the outline and Pumpkin Pie ink stamped off once for the solid part. The face was stamped using black Memento ink.  Then I punched them out using the matching "Halloween" punch.  I added a Dimensional to the back of each one. They were added to the left side of the striped piece.

I punched out a Highland Heather label and cut the bottom end off so it was straight. I stamped some cute spiders on it from the "Cutest Halloween" set using Gorgeous Grape ink. This was set in place with a couple of Dimensionals.

The words were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink and were cut off using a scissors and the ends were snipped. Small Dimensionals were added to the back, I did have to trim them a bit, and they were set in place on the label piece.

I didn't purchase the cute star sequins but there was a star die in "Frightful Tags" dies so I die cut some Highland Heather, Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie ones and I just glued them in place on the front of the card.   And the card was done.

I often find cute cards in the catalogs but I don't think I've ever made one directly from the catalog. Cute, isn't it?

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by today and see this fun Halloween card,
Wanda
