Cutest Halloween, Cute Halloween, Halloween Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I was thinking about making another Halloween card using the "Frightfully Cute" set but ended up back at the "Cutest Halloween" set!  Which is okay, I like both but the spider in the "Frightfully Cute" set was too small and had a line attached to it. So I went with the "Cutest Halloween" set.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock.  The Pumpkin Pie piece of card stock was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".

I cut a 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" square  and stamped the spiders using black Memento ink.  I used a template I had made to set the square in and stamp and move the square so I could complete a whole circle. You can see that template here.  There's links there to find out how to make your own template. I keep my template right in with my Stamparatus. I have to take it out each time I need to use the Staparatus but that's okay, I always know where my template is. I also wrote on it so I know where to place the image.  After stamping the spiders eight times I removed the square from the template and I was ready to plan the next part of my card.  All I knew going into this card was I wanted to play with spiders!

So, I cut a 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" Basic Black square for the layer. I taped the two layers together.

I fussy cut a cute skull from the "Cute Halloween" 6" x 6" "Designer Series Paper" stack. I taped it to a 1-1/4" Basic Black circle. Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and it was set in the center of the spiders. I was going to use the cat face but I thought it might look like the spider was after the cute kitty. LOL

The Pumpkin Pie piece was stamped with the outline pumpkin image from the same set. I stamped it using Pumpkin Pie ink. I taped it to the Basic Black piece and that was then taped to the front of the card.

I die cut the fence pieces and the tree from the "Frightful Tags" dies. The fence is from Basic Black card stock and the tree is from Early Espresso. I glued the fences together so the two posts now look line one. I added glue to the left post and the center post and set it in place on the front of the card. I glued the tree down and then added glue to the other fence post and pressed it in place.

The words are from the "Frightfully Cute" set (see, I actually did get to use it! LOL) and the were stamped using Basic Black ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. Then I added the little pumpkin from the "Frightfully Cute" set using Pumpkin Pie ink. I punched the words out using a 1-3/8" circle punch and the Basic Black layer behind it was made using the 1-1/2" circle punch. I glued the two circles together and added Dimensionals on the back. I set the words in place over the left side of the fence.

I thought the card could use a bit of sparkle so I colored the skull and the little pumpkin with my Wink of Stella pen. And that was it.

I had a lot of fun making this card. There's a log going on here and yet it kept it's cuteness!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's kid friendly Halloween card,
Wanda
