The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card was so quick and easy to make that I made three of them. Now I'm set for Halloween cards this year!
I stamped the spider webs first using Smoky Slate ink.
Then I stamped the pumpkin faces using black Memento ink.
The bats were added next using black Memento ink.
The "Boo!" was added using Gorgeous Grape. I thought it was a bit too dark so on the other two cards I made, I used Highland Heather. The center one was stamped using Granny Apple Green and the bottom one was stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink.
There's a set of three dots in the set. They are actually the berries that go with the holly but they worked here too. They kind of look like little bugs with eyes. I used my markers to color them. I used Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green. That was the part of the card I didn't like doing. I am not a big fan of coloring on my stamps with markers and having to do three colors and hope the don't bead up too much, even with huffing on them you don't get the nice solid color. But it's still cute the way it is.
The last thing I did was I inked up my blending brush and scrubbed in some Pumpkin Pie ink. I went lightly over the card because I didn't want it very dark. I got just the right amount on the card.
This was a fun card to make, except for those little dots but maybe if I only made one card I probably wouldn't have complained. But then again, I always complain about some aspect of a card I make!! LOL
Thank you SO very much for stopping by today to see this sweet kid friendly Halloween card,
Wanda
