The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
I had die cut my DSP yesterday using the "Penguin Pals" package. I had also die cut a piece of Basic White card stock using the same largest rectangle stitched die. I taped the two pieces of DSP to the Basic White die cut piece. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and set in place on top of a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
I fussy cut the bear and the fox. The penguin was punched out using the matching punch that was in the bundle.
The bear was set in place using Dimensionals. I did move it down lower than they are on the original card.
The penguin was added on the left and the fox on the right. I made sure I didn't add any Dimensionals to the parts where they are sitting on the bear.
The words are also different. I used the same ones I stamped yesterday. They are from the "Penguin Place" set and were stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock using Misty Moonlight ink. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch. I also punched out the scalloped oval from that same punch using Misty Moonlight card stock. I taped the ovals together and added Dimensionals to the back and the card was done.
I like how quickly these cards go together using the DSP. Wouldn't it be fun if the DSP was already die cut so all you have to do is remove them from the sheet? That was my little dig at fussy cutting because it's not one of my favorite things. That and embossing powder. I love how it looks but I don't like doing it. That's part of the reason I changed the wording on the card. Confession time!! LOL
Tomorrow I will not be using this set!! Promise!
Thank you ever SO much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
