The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pale Papaya card stock and textured it with the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. I ended up trimming my card to 3-7/8" x 5-1/4" because I wanted more of the Very Vanilla to show.
Next I cut the lacy frame from the "Ornate Layers" dies and Shaded Spruce card stock. I LOVE the look of that frame but I don't like picking out all of the tiny dots that get stuck in the holes. But I do it because I love the look of it!! Again, I'm whining!! LOL
The Designer Series Paper (DPS) is from the "Expressions in Ink" 12" x12" package and was cut 3-1/2" x 2-1/8" and taped in place on the lacy piece. Then the lacy piece was set in place on top of the textured Pale Papaya piece using Dimensionals.
The flower is from the "Artistically Inked" set and was stamped using Pale Papaya ink and then the edges rolled in Pumpkin Pie ink. I used Terri's technique of taking my blending brush and dragging the Pumpkin Pie color inward to create a softer look yet darker on the edges. Then I colored this piece using Wink of Stella after I die cut it.
The tiny flower was stamped by inking it up using Pumpkin Pie ink and then stamping off. Then I lightly touched it to the Pumpkin Pie ink pad and then stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I also added Wink of Stella to the tiny flower after I die cut it. Then I took my black marker and I added some tiny dots to the center. I set that little flower in place with a small Dimensional.
The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped using Shaded Spruce ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I used the rectangle stitched die from the "Ornate Layers" dies. I made sure I had the words on the left side of the die since the die was too long and I'd be tucking it in under the flower. I used glue to attach the words to the flower and then I turned it over and added Dimensionals to the back. Before setting it in place I had die cut the open leaves from the "Artistic Dies" set using gold foil card stock. I cut off two leaves and added them to the front of the card with a little glue. I had set the word piece over the leaves first for placement. Then the word piece was set in place and the card was done.
This was a very quick and easy card to make and now I have to go clean the dots out of my die!! :o)
