Hand-Penned Petals, Blossoms in Bloom, Color & Contour, Birthday Card

I just love the scalloped area of this card. It's what attracted me to it and I knew I had to make one. You can see the original card here. I did change it a little.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Soft Succulent card stock. On the left side is a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 6" x 6" in color paper stack. I LOVE those stacks. There's SO much paper in them and lots of fun designs and colors. I do have to say that I like these new designs, they are SO much better than last years ones.

I die cut the scalloped rectangle from the "Scalloped Contours" dies in the "Color & Contour" Bundle.  I used Basic White card stock. I set the piece up in my Stamparatus and stamped the words from the "Blossoms in Bloom" set using Soft Succulent ink. I set it up in my Stamparatus because I wanted to make sure I got them straight and inked well. I did have to stamp it twice because my ink didn't cover all the letters the first time. I must not have gotten the ink pad all over the words.  I don't know. But it doesn't matter because I was able to stamp again and fix it.  LOVE that Stamparatus!!! I taped this piece to the center of the card.

I stamped the flowers from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set using black Memento ink. Then I die cut them with the matching dies from the "Penned Flowers" dies.  I stamped the flowers with the detail stamp using Pale Papaya ink. And I also stamped the smaller flower using Pale Papaya ink too. I'm not sure what colors were used on the original card. I opted to go with the Pale Papaya instead of what was on the original card.

I colored the leaves in using the dark Soft Sea Foam Blends pen.  A ribbon was tied into a bow on the stem and then I added Dimensionals to the back of the flower and set it in place on the card.

I didn't have the same embellishments, so I took some rhinestones and my dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen and colored three of them and added them to the front of the card. I also added a clear rhinestone to the center of the flower, it just looked like it needed something.

A 4" x -5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I really like how the card turned out and it was SO quick and easy to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this quick and easy card,
Wanda
