The base of the is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I wanted to use a half-sheet of the Polished Pink but I had only purchased a variety package and I didn't have enough. So I worked with what I had. I suppose I could have used Melon Mambo because it's pretty close in color but I REALLY like the Polished Pink color. So the Basic White card base had to do. And it did well!!
I cut my piece of Polished Pink to 4" x 5-1/4" and then I die cut the flower from the center of it. My die is from the "Artistically Inked" bundle and the die package is called "Artistic Dies" Then I cut a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White for the top layer. I taped the two layers together and then I taped that to the front of the card.
I took a scrap piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "In Colors" 6" x 6" stack. I REALLY love the designs of the papers this time around!! I cut the scrap piece to 1-1/4" x 3-7/8" and I taped it to the bottom of the top Basic White layer.
The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Black Memento ink. The piece was trimmed to 1/2" x 3". Then it was set in place on the bottom part of the card using Dimensionals.
The floral piece was glued in place on the white area.
I added some small pearls to the center of the one flower and a few on the outside of the flower and the card was done.
This was a super quick and easy card to make. I like how it turned out, even though it wasn't the same as the original card. You can make things work with limited supplies.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's super quick and easy card,
