The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I used the largest "Stitched withWhimsy" die on the front. This die just makes the stitch marks and does not cut all the way through. It gives the front of the card a nice border.
I die cut the flower square from the "All Squared Away" set on Pear Pizzazz card stock.
Then I die cut the flower and the three tiny flowers using Crushed Curry card stock.
The background behind the frame was stamped using the dotted image from the "All Squared Away" set. I lightly sponged on Balmy Blue. I wanted a light blue background and that was the lightest blue I could find. And I think it worked! I traced the square around the stamped square and when I cut it, I cut it inside the pencil lines.
Next I glued the flower frame to the square. I chose glue becaues of the small area I had to work with plus I needed to be able to move it in case I didn't get it lined up right. Then I set the square on top of the card so I could see where the words were going to go.
The words are from the same "All Squared Away" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.
Then the square was taped in place.
The flowers were glued in place. I colored each flower with Wink of Stella. Then pearls were added to the center of each one and the card was done.
This was a fun and easy card to make. I do like how it turned out. I could see myself making more like this.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and have a look at this squared frame card,
Wanda
Wanda.....This card is PERFECT. I especially LOVE how you used the Stitched with Whimsy die on this card.
