Artistically Inked, Friendship Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I was thinking about a friend of mine today and I realized it's been quite a few weeks since I've sent her a card.  So I went down to my workroom and this is the card I made for her.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "Expressions in Ink" 12" x 12" package. 

Then I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and I die cut a stitched square using the largest rectangle die from the "Rectangle Stitched Framelets".  I set the rectangle in place so it would cover as much of the front of the card without the DSP on the right tip being exposed. I turned the card over and traced the edges so I knew where to tape them. Once taped, then I cut the top and side pieces off.

I die cut the flowers image from the "Artistic Dies" that were with the "Artistically Inked" bundle.  I die cut them using Polished Pink card stock. I set the card in my Stamparatus and I lined up the flower image from the "Artistically Inked" set. Then I closed the lid of the Stamparatus and pressed down to get the stamp to stick to the cover. I removed the die cut image and inked up the flower using Polished Pink ink. I closed the lid and pressed down to help the ink to transfer evenly. I repeated this for the double leaf. I used Shaded Spruce ink for the leaves. 

The die cut flowers piece was then set in place using some Tombow glue in the center of the flower and on any parts that were wide. I pressed the piece in place.  I thought the flower center could use something so I added some Wink of Stella for some sparkle. I also added it to the round tiny round rose die cut pieces.  It doesn't show in the photo but it is pretty.  But the center of the flower looked like it needed something more. I found some retired "Faceted Gems" and stuck one to the center of the flower.

Green sequins were glued in place. I think I may have over done it on them. Less would have been better.

The words are from the same "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped on Basic White card stock using Shaded Spruce ink.  The words were die cut using the smallest circle die. The scalloped layer behind it was die cut using Shaded Spruce card stock. I taped the words to the layer and set it in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a quick and simple card to make. Though it did seem like it was kind of a waste of DSP  because most of it was covered.
