The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather was taped to the front of the card.
I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White for the top layer.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Hand Penned" 12" x 12" package and was cut at 2" x 5". The DSP was taped to the Basic White piece.
I didn't have any matching ribbon so I cut a 1/4" strip of Highland Heather card stock and glued it across the edge of the DSP. My tape was too wide for the strip so that is why I opted to glue it.
Then I die cut the pretty flowers from the "Artistic Dies" set using Basic White card stock that had the double sided sticky paper added to it. I stuck it in place on the front of the card.
The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a 3/8" piece of Basic White card stock. I set the words in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
I think this would be prettier if the bottom piece was more solid, it's got too much white. But in person it does look better.
If I were to make a card like this again, I'd look for the darker DSP. I want the die cut to show up better. Other than that I do like this layout.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's card,
Wanda
