Art Gallery, Artistically Inked, Wedding Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I wasn't sure where I was going with this card. I knew I wanted to use the new 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs. I took out the Subtles's Collection pack. I cut 2" off the 6" square. And I cut so the  strip is 5" long. The color of DSP here is So Saffron. It's a color I don't use much so I thought it would be the color of choice for today.

I cut a 5-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Crushed Curry card stock for the layer. I taped the DSP to this layer.

I took a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock for the base of my card. 

I took out my "Art Gallery" set and I stamped the flower using Daffodil Delight ink for the more solid piece and Crushed Curry for the highlights. I die cut the flower and set it aside.

The leaves from the "Art Gallery" set were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I die cut it with the 2-7/8" Stitched Circle (retired) die.  I set the flower on top using Dimensionals. 

I taped the DSP layered strip to the left side of the card. And I set the circle on top (I didn't tape it in place yet). I just needed to see where the words would go. Most of the words in the "Art Gallery" set were too large and they were a bit too thin. I wanted to find something small yet a bit taller. The "Best Wishes" from the "Artistically Inked" set was perfect.  I removed the circle so I wouldn't get ink on it and I stamped the words using black Memento ink.

The circle was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This is a super quick and easy card to make. For other words, I think I would make the side strip thinner. It is a perfect card for a birthday, wedding, anniversary, get well, thinking of you, friendship, sympathy or thank you card.  I'm not sure where the words "best wishes" fall.  Wedding??? Anniversary?? ?  What do you think?
