To A Wild Rose, Peaceful Moments, Birthday Card

Okay, the last 'To a Wild Rose" card. I will just have to give the set up in the near future.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

I stamped the flower from the "To a Wild Rose" set using Crushed Curry ink. I stamped the solid part using SO Saffron ink and the detail image was stamped using So Saffron ink as well. I added Tombow Multi glue to the lines on the flower and to the center and set it aside to dry.

I stamped two sets of leaves and used Granny Apple Green ink to stamp the solid part. I then die cut the leaves and flower at the same time. Well, I die cut one set of leaves with the flower and then I die cut the other set because there's only one leaf die.

There's a long lacy die in the set and I cut it using So Saffron card stock that I had added double sided sticky sheet to it so I could make it into a sticker. I also die cut the small open leaf buds using So Saffron card stock. I cut two of them. And using the same die I cut three gold foil pieces.

There's also an open leaf in the set. I die cut two of them using Pear Pizzazz card stock.

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using Crushed Curry ink. I die cut them using the fun die that is with the set.

The glue was dry on my flower so I added some gold leaf and brushed it off using a stipple brush. Any stiff bristled brush will work. I added Dimensionals to the back.

I set all the pieces on top of the card for placement.

I glued the word piece down first.

Next the flower was set lightly on top of the card. The stamped leaves were taped on the back and slipped under the flower.

The open leaves were added next using a couple of small glue dots in the more solid areas. Then the So Saffron leaf bud pieces were added using glue in the larger more solid areas. And lastly the gold foil pieces were added.

I had some extra Faceted Gems left over so I added one to the center of the flower. The gold foil in the middle wasn't working for me. It just needed something more.  I had a thought after (of course after) I added the gem, I was wondering what it would look like if I took a half pearl and added glue to it, let it dry and then added the gold foil to that???  I am going to have to give that a try in the near future.

This was a fun card to make and I love all the pieces to it and it's also versatile!!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see my last "To a Wild Rose" card,
Wanda
