The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Blackberry Bliss. This is a color I don't use much because it's very dark and I don't find a lot of things to go with it. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia card stock and textured it using the "Tasteful Texture" embossing folder. My piece of card stock was from a sample pack of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" pieces my demonstrator gave me. I was glad I had them because my variety pack is on backorder. Hope it doesn't take 2 months like my strawberry punch did. The textured piece was taped to the front of the card base.
The words were stamped on a quarter piece of Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink and were die cut using the largest die from the "Stitched So Sweetly" dies. I set them in place using Dimensionals.
The flowers were die cut from a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Pansy Petals" 12" x 12" package. I also cut the leaves from another sheet of DSP from the same package. How fun is that? I taped the flowers in place and tucked the leaves in. Then I had to add some Dimensionals under the parts that hung over the word piece.
I had some retired Blackberry Bliss ribbon and I tied a bow and used a glue dot to hold it in place.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was added to the inside and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. I LOVE word stamps that take up a lot of real estate on a card. All you need is a little accent and the card is done. I'm going to use these words again on another card in a few days. I have some ideas rattling around in my head!!! I do like how this card turned out and I can see myself making more in the future.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this pretty birthday card,
Wanda
