Pansy Patch, Hand-Penned Petals, Get Well Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I think I found a new favorite stamp set. While looking on the net, I found how to use some of the other dies in the bundle. There are some fun texture ones. So sometime in the next few days I'm going to see what I can come up with (that looks good)!!! LOL I had to add that part because I've made some pretty ugly stuff that I just couldn't tape to the cards!  SO here's what I came up with today.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White. I cut my paper in half on the 8-1/2" side so it measured 4-1/4" x 11" before I folded it in half. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the front of the card.

I took a piece of Basic White card stock and I stamped one flower using Balmy Blue ink. Then for the beard of the flower I stamped Night of Navy and the center was stamped using Mango Melody ink. I had watched a video (that I can't find now) and in it was how the demonstrator had taken her Balmy Blue watercolor pencil and colored in some highlighted areas on the flower. I didn't have that set of watercolor pencils but I did have a blue one, I think it was Pacific Point, not sure because it's not written on the pencil.

I had made a mat and covered the first flower so I could stamp the second one. I stamped it the same way as the first, including the watercolor pencil.

I made sure the mask was on the flowers before I stamped the leaves. The leaves were stamped using Granny Apple Green ink and the veins of the leaf were stamped using Old Olive ink.

The words are from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set and were stamped using Night of Navy ink. I did mask off the word friend. I just wanted it to say "feel better".  The "Pansy Patch" set has some fun words with nice fonts but no get well, so that is why I went with "Hand-Penned Petals".  Plus I like the font!

I die cut the image using the largest rectangle die in the "Stitched so Sweetly" die cut set. I cut a 3-1/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue card stock for the layer behind the flower piece. I added Dimensionals to the back of the layers and set it in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make, plus it's pretty too!  I need to do a little research on the colors of pansies.  I don't know my flowers well!  I am excited to use this set again.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this sweet get well card,
Wanda
