I had purchased the "All Squared Away" bundle and when I went to look on Pinterest for some ideas, I didn't see any. I thought about the images and I was going to look in the catalog to see if there were some samples in there that might inspire me but I didn't. There had to me some reason why I wanted this set. There must have been a card (could even be one single card that will prompt me to buy the entire bundle!!!). As I was looking at the dies I thought the flower one would be fun to play with, so here is how I made this card.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the layer on top.
I took a crap piece of Basic White card stock and I brushed on some Pool Party and then some Balmy Blue. I made sure the brushed area was larger than the die cut piece. So I measured it and it was 1-7/8" x 1-7/8". After coloring I cut the piece just a hair less than 1-7/8" x 1-7/8". I didn't want any color to hang over the edges. Not like you can't trim them but I didn't want to do any trimming because I'm lazy!! LOL
I die cut the flower image using a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I glued it to the colored area. Then I added Dimensionals to the back. I set the image on top of the 4" x 5-1/4" piece to see where the words would go.
The words are from the "Blossoms in Bloom" set and were stamped using Pool Party ink. Once the words were stamped I added the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of card stock to the card base using Dimensionals. Then the flower image was added using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a super quick and easy card to make. Not to mention fun too! There's three other images plus the stamp set has background images. I'll have to play with them next!
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by and see this super quick card,
Wanda
