To A Wild Rose, Sweet Strawberry, Thank You Card

The "To a Wild Rose" set is retiring in a few days. It's kind of sad because it was an expensive bundle ($70 total) and it was only available for one year. There is no way I got $70 worth of use out of it. So I'm making sure I rethink buying these Million Dollar Winners (demonstrator designed) sets. Especially ones this expensive.  So I will be holding onto this set for a little while until I feel I've used it enough to sell it.

So onto this card. The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. 

I stamped the flower from the "To a Wild Rose" set using black Memento ink. Then I stamped the solid area image using Flirty Flamingo that was stamped off once. And then I used the detail image with Flirty Flamingo ink. I die cut the flowers using the matching die.

I then stamped the leaves using black Memento ink and I used Granny Apple Green to stamp the leaf centers. The leaves were then die cut out.

The die cut pieces were set on top of the card base to see where to do the sponging. I sponged on some Daffodil Delight ink to help the flowers stand out more.  It was a toss up between Balmy Blue or Daffodil Delight ink. I'm thinking the Balmy Blue might have been the way to go.  I also wanted to know where the words were going to go too. 

The words are from the "Sweet Strawberry" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals on the right flower and half Dimensionals on the left flower and half tape. You don't want to add Dimensionals where the flower will be covering the other flower. Before I pressed the flowers in place, I added some tape to the leaves, slipped them under the flowers and then pressed everything in place.

This was an easy card to make. I may stamp and die cut a few more pieces to assemble another time.  Just want to try to get as much use as I can from this set.
