The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pacific Point card stock was cut for the larger layer. A 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Well Suited" 12" x 12" package. There's a lot of fun designs in that package. I can't wait to play with both the "Handsomely Suited" set and the DSP.
After I cut the DSP, I took the other side of that same design and die cut the bow ties and bowtie centers. I set the centers in place using a Dimensional and I added Dimensionals to the back of the bowties.
The layers the bowties are affixed to measure 3-3/4" x 2-1/4" for the Pacific Point piece and 3-5/8" x 2-1/8" for the Basic Black piece. I taped those two layers together and then I set the bowties on top.
The words are from the "Handsomely Suited" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I die cut it with the "Ovals" dies and I also cut the scalloped oval that is just a bit larger than the one the words were cut from. I cut the scalloped one from the center of the larger Pacific Point layer. I cut in the middle, no one will ever know there's a hole in the middle of that layer.
Now I was ready to put the card together. I put the larger Pacific Point layer on top of the card base. Then the DSP layer went on next.
The bowties piece was taped to the left lining up the top and left side so they looked pretty equal.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the oval circles and set in place on the bottom part of the card.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside of the card and the card was done.
This was a fun and easy card to make and I REALLY like how it turned out. I love it when I can find a great masculine set. This one is great!!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and check out this fun card today,
Wanda
