Today's card was a quick one to make. It was so quick that I actually felt a bit guilty and added some Wink of Stella to help ease that guilt! LOL
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Ornate Garden" 12" x 12" package. I just realized there's only a few days left before the new catalog begins and all the DSP I have retires. UGH. And it was a goal of mine to try to use it up before it retires. Though I did think that I had the whole month of May but I was wrong. Before I taped the DSP to the front of the card I taped down some ribbon. First I was going to use the 3/8" wide white ribbon (retired) but it was too bright and I didn't really like the look. SO I took some Old Olive (retired) ribbon and taped it on top of the white and I liked it SO much better. I also taped the ends of the ribbon on the back of the DSP using scotch tape.
Then I stamped the flower from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Pacific Point ink. I love that color and don't use it much. Once the flower was stamped I die cut it using the second largest "Stitched Nested Labels" die.
The leaves were stamped next using Old Olive ink.
The words are from the "Sweet Strawberry" set using black Memento ink.
And before I set the piece in place on the front of the card with Dimensionals, I colored the flowers with Wink of Stella. It gave it some sparkle which then tied it in with the gold shiny background.
Like I said, it was a very quick card to make and it was super easy too.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this super easy thank you card today,
