Art Gallery, Thinking of You Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today I needed to make a thinking of you card. I pulled out my "Art Gallery" stamp set and found a card on Pinterest that I thought would be pretty to make. You can see that card here. I changed it a little.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. Folded it measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Fine Art Floral" 12" x 12" package that measured 4" x 5-1/4".  I taped it to the front of the card.

I die cut the lacy frame from the "Ornate Layers" dies using Basic White card stock. I LOVE this lacy frame and I should use it more, it's SO pretty.

The flower is from a piece of the DSP from the same package. There are two pages of flowers that fit in the die. I found a flower that didn't have any other pieces of flower in the background and I die cut it. Some of the flowers overlap each other and it's hard to find one that is all alone.

I stamped the flower stem and leaf image using Old Olive ink on Basic White card stock. I die cut it out. I LOVE it that I don't have to fussy cut these pieces, though they are easy enough to fussy cut.  But when I don't have to, I'm thrilled. I tend to make more cards using the set when I don't have to fussy cut!

And the words are from the same "Art Gallery" set and were stamped using Old Olive ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. There is a die in the bundle that is perfect for these words. I die cut them out and now I was ready to assemble my card. I cut a 4" x 1-1/2" piece of Rococo Rose card stock.

The Rococo Rose piece was taped to the middle of the DSP. Then I set the lacy piece in place using Dimensionals. Next I added the stem and leaves piece using Dimensionals. The flower was set in place using Dimensionals and placed just over the top of the stem. The words were also added using Dimensionals. Make sure you don't add a Dimensional to the center of the word piece or you won't like the results. You need that stem to be between the Dimensionals. Once the words were added the card was done.  You could add some bling if you wish. I left it plain because I am sending it through the mail and I don't want to pay extra.

Wouldn't this make a nice Mother's Day, Birthday, Get Well or even a Sympathy card?

This was a fun, easy and pretty card to make. Now I need to get it addressed and ready to mail.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this pretty flower card,
Wanda
