The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Fine Art Floral" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base.
I die cut the lacy border piece from the "Ornate Layers" dies on a piece of Basic White card stock. Then the words from the "Here's A Card" set were stamped on the right side using black Memento ink. I waited to tape that piece in place until the flower was done. If you are following along, you can tape it down now because you can see the placement.
The larger flower image was stamped using Coastal Cabana ink and the highlights image was stamped using Bermuda Bay ink. I stamped the center with Old Olive but you can pretty much use any color, it's not going to show. I took my Tombow Mono glue and drew over the stamped image and I even took a toothpick to get the pointy areas. I let the glue dry. It remains sticky when it dries. Then I added a piece of the gold foil over the top and pressed it down. I got my stipple brush and brushed away the excess foil. You can also use a toothbrush if you want. Just lightly brush over the area to remove the foil that didn't stick to the glue.
The leaves and stem were stamped using Old Olive ink on Basic White card stock. The flower and leaves piece were die cut at the same time. I prefer cutting more than one item at a time, it saves time and wear and tear on your machine and arm. I added Dimensionals to the back of the flower and leaves and stem.
I set the word piece on top of the card and the flower pieces just for placement. Once I had them were I liked them, I taped the word piece in place and set the flower and stem in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a very quick and easy card to make and my friend really liked the colors, it was exactly what she wanted. A little bit of my heart goes into sympathy cards especially when I know where they are going.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and have a look,
Wanda
