The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued this piece in place on the front of the card.
The words I used are from the retired "Flourishing Phrases" set and were stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I die cut them using the fourth smallest "Stitched Rectangle" die. I prefer to stamp first and then do the die cutting to make sure I get the words as straight as possible. I added Dimensionals and centered it on the front of the card.
The flowers image is from the "Art Gallery" set and were first stamped on Basic White card stock using Granny Apple Green ink and then stamped on another piece of Basic White card stock using Highland Heather and highlighted with Gorgeous Grape. I die cut both. I fussy cut off the Highland Heather leaves and glued that piece to the Granny Apple Green piece. I added Dimensionals and set it in place on top of the Stitched Rectangle piece. Then the stem and flowers were added using Dimensionals and the card was done.
I love the simplicity of this card but I'm sad that I had to make it. Usually when I make sympathy cards they are for the stash to sell. I don't make very many and they do sell out.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's card,
Wanda
