In spite of the fussy cutting, this card didn't take all that long to make.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The card stock was cut in half on the 8-1/2" (short) side. It measures 4-1/4" x 11". This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Berry Delightful" 12" x 12" pack was used here. It's a cute check patter. If you didn't get this paper when it was available last month, you can use the Buffalo Plaid stamp and make a nice Poppy Parade inked background.
The Granny Apple Green piece was cut at 3-1/8" x 4-1/2". The Basic White focal piece was die cut using the third largest stitched rectangle die in the "Rectangle Stitched Framelits" dies. If you don't have these dies you can cut your piece 3" x 4-3/8".
I stamped and fussy cut the strawberries. I stamped the outline of the strawberry using Poppy Parade ink. I stamped them twice to get them nice and dark. Then I used the second step stamp and stamped the solid part using Poppy Parade ink. I did the same for the stems but used Granny Apple Green ink. I fussy cut them out. I glued the stems to the strawberries.
I stamped the Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight flowers the same way and I fussy cut them out, except for the large one, I used the "Small Bloom" punch for that.
The strawberries were set on the card to see where the leaves and flower image were going to be stamped. They were stamped using Granny Apple Green ink and were stamped twice on the focal piece.
Then the pieces were set on the front of the card and taped in place. The focal piece was taped to the Granny Apple Green piece and then it was set in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.
The words are from the same set and were stamped using Poppy Parade on a scrap piece of Basic White. The 8th rectangle in the set was used. I want to say it's the smallest but there's two other small ones in the set. This is the smallest of the set of 8. If you don't have these dies you can cut your piece 2-3/8" x 1-1/8". The word piece was set in place using Dimensionals. Be careful not to add the Dimensionals too close to the edge on the right side, it hangs over a bit and you won't like it. It could stick to the background piece or it could stay straight and collect things like tiny scraps of card stock, hair, dust, lint, etc.
I added a rhinestone to the upper left corner of the word piece and the card was done.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's card, Wanda
