Sweet Strawberry, Berry Delight, Birthday Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog and Sale-a-Bration

I found this beauty on Pinterest. I loved the strawberry Designer Series Paper (DSP) that was from the retired "Berry Delight" 12" x 12" package. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The sheet of card stock was cut in half on the 8-1/2" side. So this piece measures 4-1/4" x 11" before folding in half at 5-1/2". The front of the card was textured using the "Subtle" embossing folder.

The DSP was cut at 3-3/4" x 4-1/4".  Before taping it to the front of the card you may want to wait until you have completed the black strip.

The Basic Black strip was cut from a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of card stock. I marked the right side 1" down from the top corner and I cut from the left corner to the mark on the right side. I marked each side at 1" and cut across to each mark. I laid the strip on top of the card.

Stamp, color and punch (or fussy cut) your strawberries from the "Sweet Strawberry" set using black memento ink for the outline, Poppy Parade for the strawberries and garden green for the stems. I glued the stems to the strawberries and I set them on top of the strip to see where the words would go.

The words are from the "Sweet Strawberry" set and were stamped using Versa Mark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

The strip was then taped to the front of the card. Make sure the DSP is not showing on the left side of the card. If it is you can either trim some away or you can move the strip up a bit.

The strawberries were added and a few crystal rhinestones were set in place. I colored mine using the dark Real Red Blends pen. And the card was done.  This is a very quick and easy card to make. I may use this layout for some retired papers. It seems to use up a nice piece of the DSP.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see what I worked on today,
Wanda

Wanda, Love it! I'll be casing your case of that card on Pinterest. In fact I may have a copy of it already in a folder on my computer. Just need to get Easter cards started and finished soon!
