The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. Then I cut the piece to 4" x 5-1/4". I taped it to the card base.
The black lacy framed piece is from the "Ornate Layers" dies. I die cut it from a piece of Basic Black card stock.
The DSP on top of the lacy framed piece was cut 2-1/8" x 3-1/2". I taped it to the lacy piece.
I stamped the strawberry, leaf and strawberry cap from the "Sweet Strawberry" set using back Memento ink. Then I used the solid images and stamped the strawberry in Poppy Parade, the cap in Garden Green and the leaf in Granny Apple Green.
The words are from the "Art Gallery" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock using Versa Mark and then heat set with white embossing powder. I trimmed above and below the words. When I was done trimming the piece measured 3/8" wide and it was 2-3/8" long.
I die cut the third largest stitched circle using Pear Pizzazz card stock. And I die cut a Basic Black scalloped circle that was just a bit larger. I taped the two circles together.
I was now ready to assemble the rest of the card.
I glued the cap on the strawberry and then glued the strawberry in place on the circle. I added glue to part of the leaf and slipped it under the strawberry a bit. Then I glued the circle in place.
I took two pieces of scrap card stock and glued them together. I cut them so they were about 1/8" wide. You don't need a big piece of scrap. Just big enough to it's 1/8" wide and 1-1/2" long. I glued this to the back of the word piece. I wanted it to be even across the card and not sag on the right because of being attached on part of the circle. It's like making a card stock Dimensional.
Crystal Rhinestones were added on the circle and the card was done.
You can add some Wink of Stella on the strawberry if you like. I didn't and I don't have any plans of doing it after I'm done posting this. I'm just leaving it the way it is.
I like how this card turned out and I REALLY like this layout. It's fancy enough and yet quick to make! The best of both worlds!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to have a look at today's creation,
Wanda
