The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The piece measured 4-1/4" x 11" before it was folded in half on the long side. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a piece of Calypso Coral card stock 4" x 5-1/4" and I taped it to the front of the card.
The DSP was some leftover pieces that were each 3-3/4" x 3". I taped the bottom piece on first and then the top piece.
The lacy frame piece is from the "Band Together" bundle and was die cut using Night of Navy card stock.
The words are from the "Here's a Card" set and were stamped using Night of Navy ink. There's an oval die in the "Band Together" bundle that fits the space on the lacy framed area. The words were taped to the lacy piece and then the lacy piece was taped to the DSP taped pieces. And all that was taped to the Calypso Coral piece on the front of the card and that was it.
This is a very quick and easy card to make. The tricky part here is making sure you get the ends of that lacy piece equal on both sides when die cutting it. But if I hadn't said anything you probably wouldn't have noticed. I just chalk it up to "it's a homemade card" and learn to accept it!
This was a fun card to make and I think I'm going to make some more using some of my retired DSP. By the time I'm done using up my retired DSP (if that's ever possible) I should have about a million cards. Right? LOL
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and have a look at this easy to make card,
Wanda
