The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Highland Heather card stock. This piece was cut in half on the 8-1/2" side so after it was cut it measured 4-1/4" x 11". I scored it at 5-1/2" and folded it in half. I don't usually score my cards but sometimes I do when the orientation is like this. Folding against the grain of the card stock can sometimes be difficult.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock and I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Hydrangea Hills" 12" x 12" package.
The words are from the "Band Together" set (which I'm pretty sure will be retiring this year) and I stamped them using black Memento ink. I stamped directly onto the DSP.
I taped the DSP to the Gorgeous Grape piece and I taped ends of a 6" piece of ribbon to the back. I used scotch tape to hold the ribbon in place. I didn't have any current ribbon so I used some stuff that I had on hand. Then I affixed the piece to the front of the card base. I slipped a piece of ribbon under the taped ribbon and I tied a knot. I like this method because I don't have to worry about getting my knot in the center of the card. I can slide it in place when I'm done. I also added a small glue dot under the knot to hold it in place. I wanted it in the center and I didn't want it to move.
Next I colored three pearls using the dark Highland Heather Blends pen and I set them in place on the front of the card.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.
This card went together so quickly. I liked it that the DSP had such a nice open space on the top so words could be stamped directly to it.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see what came off my worktable today,
Wanda

Wanda, this is a beautiful card. The DSP is so pretty it makes getting a card together so easy. Enjoy your day!
Absolutely lovely! That is one package of paper I didn't buy. You just have to stop tempting me. :)
