The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Calypso Coral. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut off 1" off the front right side so the front panel no longer measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4", it measures 5-1/2" x 4.
I took a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Old World Ppaer" embossing folder. I love the look of this folder. Not as much as the "Painted Texture" embossing folder though! After texturing, I cut the piece to 5-1/4" x 3". I glued the piece in place on the front flap of the card. I used glue because I find that the tape doesn't have enough flat surfaces to make a good contact to stick well. Glue does the job for me so I use glue.
For the inside of the card, a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was taped in place. Then a 5-1/4" x 1-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Fine Art Floral" 12" x 12" package was taped over the right side of the Basic White piece.
The flower is from the "Art Gallery" set and was stamped using Flirty Flamingo ink for the first step and Poppy Parade ink for the second step.
The leaves and stem image were stamped using Old Olive ink.
Then the image was die cut using the second largest circle die (2-13/16") in the "Layering Circles" Framelets dies. And the Calypso Coral layer behind it was made using the largest scalloped circle in the pack. The two circles were taped together. Dimensionals were added to the left side. What I did was I set the circle where I wanted it to go and lightly drew a pencil line on the back so I knew not to cross that line with the Dimensionals. I erased the pencil line before I set the circle in place. I use a kneadable Art Gum eraser. I love this eraser. It only erases the graphite and does not ruin the paper. You can form it and shape it too. You can even flatten it and press it to your lips and blow a bubble, which our art teacher hated!! LOL I don't do that anymore, I grew up (some!). I took a small piece of it and rolled it into a cylinder and replaced the eraser in my mechanical pencil. So I now have that eraser always handy. Anyway, this eraser is a must if you draw on your work and don't want to ruin the card stock it with old fashioned erasers.
The words are from the same set and were stamped using Old Olive ink. I die cut them with the fun rectangle die that came in the bundle. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.
I added an Old Olive ribbon using some retired ribbon I had on hand. And the card was done.
This is a very quick and easy card to make. I love the layout and I can see myself making more using this layout.
