There's SO many lovely cards on Pinterest using the "Berry Blessings" set. I wanted to play with it again because it's retiring at the end of the month and I've hardly used any of my Sale-a-Bration sets. This one is un and it's cute too, plus it's got matching Designer Series Paper (DSP) to go with it. You can see the original card here.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Granny Apple Green card stock. The card stock was cut in half on the short side. The piece then measured 4-1/4" x 11". This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.
I took a piece of DSP from the "Berry Delight" 12" x 12" pack that came as a bundle in the Sale-a-Brations catalog. I cut the piece 4" x 5-1/4" and I then cut that piece in half at 2-5/8". I taped the berry piece to the top part of the card and then I flipped the other half over and taped the leafy piece in place.
I took some ribbon I had on hand and taped it around the front of the card at the seam of where the two pieces of DSP meet. I taped the ends of the ribbon on the front center of the card. I used scotch tape to hold them down. The panel will hid it so you can use any kind of tape you have.
The Basic White piece was cut 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" and the Granny Apple Green layer was cut 3-1/4" x 3-1/4". I stamped the words on the Basic White piece first so I could tell where to place the berries. The words are from the "Sweet Strawberries" set and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I used Poppy Parade to stamp both the outline image and the solid image.
Then the leaves were added using Garden Green for the outline and Granny Apple Green for the solid part. I stamped the leaf image three times to fill in much of the area on the top.
I tied a double bow using the same ribbon I did for the wrap around.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside and the card was done.
This was a very fun card to make and it's so bright and cheery looking too.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see what I did today, Wanda
