Peaceful Moments, Flowers for Every Season, Thank You Card

I was looking for a fun layout to play with today and here's what I found. It's a pretty simple one yet elegant. And here's how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock and textured it using the "Subtle" embossing folder. Then I cut the piece to 4" x 5-1/4. I cut it after I embossed it because sometimes with embossing the piece is not the size you started with. So I like to cut after. I taped this piece to the front of the card base.

I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and die cut my square frame. I used the 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" square die and the 1-5/8" x 1-5/8" square die.  I used some post it tape to hold the squares together. I set the smaller one inside the larger one and taped them so they didn't move when I die cut them.

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using Calypso Coral ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then I die cut them using the "Ornamental Frames" dies.

I cut a 1-5/8" x 1-5/8" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" stack. And at this rate I will never use up the pieces in that pack! LOL  I taped the DSP to the square piece that came from the center of the small square I die cut.

To assemble, I added double sided tape to the back of the DSP piece.  Then I set the frame on top of the card and lined it up on the top and two sides until they looked even.  Then I taped the DSP piece to the center. I removed the frame and added Dimensionals to it and set it in place over the DSP square.

I added Dimensionals to the word piece and set that in place below the frame and the card was done.

So quick, easy and an added plus, elegant!!

This card would also make a great Mother's Day, Thinking of You, Get Well and Birthday card.  Very versatile.

Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today and have a look,
Wanda
