The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Misty Moonlight card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I took a quarter sheet of Whisper White and textured it using the "Subtle" embossing folder. I then cut it to 4" x 5-1/4".
I cut a piece of Misty Moonlight to measure 3" x 4-1/8. And I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" paper stack. I taped that piece to the Misty Moonlight piece and I set it aside.
I stamped the donkey from the "Darling Donkeys" set using black Memento ink. Then I die cut it using the second larges die in the "Layering Circles" dies.
I also die cut a scalloped circle to layer behind the Whisper White circle.
The donkey was colored in using Blends pens. I used the Ivory one to color the entire donkey in, except for the ears and muzzle. Then I colored in some light Crumb Cake to highlight some areas. The ears and muzzle was colored in using light Petal Pink. And that was it for the coloring. So quick and easy. I love using the Blends pens. They make it look like you know how to color well!!
The words are from the same set and were stamped using black Memento ink. Then I taped the circled together.
The DSP panel was set in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.
Then the circle layers were set in place using Dimensionals as well.
I didn't have any Misty Moonlight ribbon so I took some retired Night of Navy ribbon and tied a bow and glued it in place. My Night of Navy ribbon is SO old, it just says "navy" on the spool and back when I bought it they sold the ribbon with 25 yards on the spool. That's a lot of ribbon and I have a feeling it's going to last forever!!! LOL
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside of the card and it was done.
A quick and easy card to make, plus it's SO cute!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and have a look, Wanda
