Back on Your Feet, Get Well Card

I had forgotten about this adorable "Back on Your Feet" set. I especially LOVE the turtle. I even colored the turtle and giraffe in on the cover of my stamp set. I mostly did that so I could remember what colors I had used that I REALLY liked.  I have not used the sloth image yet, not that I recall anyway.  I think he's cute but he's not as colorful as the giraffe or turtle.  I suppose I should use it just to be fair!! LOL

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of the base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock that was textured using the "Brick and Mortar" embossing folder.  I LOVE the look of this folder because it's texture is wonderful. Some bricks pop up more than others.  I used my Old Olive marker and I took the tip inside the edge of it's cap and I flicked on some dots/splatter. The piece needed something more than just plain white.  I didn't want to add a bow. Bows often lean towards female.  So splatter was the next best thing.

The turtle was stamped using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock. I colored in the turtle using Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake Blends pens.  These are very fun pens to play with. You color with the light one first and then add some highlights with the darker one and then come back with the light one and the two shades blend together. It makes it look like you are super good at coloring.

Once the coloring was done I added the words from the same set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. Then the piece was die cut using the largest "Stitched Oval" die.  I also die cut an Old Olive scalloped oval that is just a bit larger than the stitched oval. I taped the two ovals together and then added Dimensionals to the back.  The oval was set in place on top of the card.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done. Cute, isn't it?  Cute enough to cheer someone up, huh?

Thank you ever SO much for taking the time to stop by and have a look today,
Wanda
