The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Poppy Parade card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the top of the card base. You can cut this piece in half to measure 2" x 5-1/4" but I would recommend cutting it with the "Fine Art Floral" Designer Series Paper (DSP) on top or you will not be able to match the cut lines up in the center. To avoid having to do that I just cut my DSP in half. I taped the Whisper White piece in place and then the DSP on the left side.
I cut a 3" x 2-7/8" piece of Whisper White card stock for the flower. I should have just cut it 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" but it was sitting on my worktable already cut. Anyway, I stamped the flower from the "Art Gallery" set using Poppy Parade ink. Then I stamped the highlights image using Merry Merlot.
The words are from the set and were stamped using Smoky Slate ink. I had just inked the pad and didn't wait long enough before I stamped so some of my letters were inked more than others. It's done and the only way I can fix it is to stamp the words on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, cut them out and set them on top with Dimenisonals. It sounded like a lot of work for something that isn't really that bad.
I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and it was done.
This is a very quick and easy card to make. I like this layout and I can see myself making more cards for other occasions with this set.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and have a look, Wanda
