The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Misty Moonlight card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. The original card opens at the bottom. I had a half-sheet of it already cut so I used what I had.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Flowers & Field" 12" x 12" package. There's SO many pretty papers in that pack. I have a feeling it might be one of those packs that may get used up. That doesn't happen very often. I also cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of copier paper to tape the DSP to so it was more firm to tie the twine.
I tied some white Baker's twine around the DSP three times and I died a bow. I moved the bow way over to the right side. I didn't have the same Baker's twine, I just used what I have.
The butterfly was stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. I used black Memento ink to stamp it. Then I used the second step stamp and Misty Moonlight ink. My ink is a lot darker than the original card. I think it might be because my ink pad was pretty juicy. But it's still pretty.
I die cut the butterfly using the largest "Stitched Circle" die. I moved the die so it was very close to the left side of the butterfly. I needed to make sure I had room for the words.
The words are from the same "A Touch of Ink" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I used "thinking of you" and the original card used "hello friend".
I added three crystal rhinestones and then set the circle in place using Dimensionals.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock on the inside and the card was done.
This card is SO pretty! It would also be a pretty get well card, Mother's Day card, thank you card, birthday card, wedding card, and even a nice sympathy card.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time today to stop by and have a look, Wanda
