Snowman Season, Snowflake Splendor, Curvy Dies, Christmas Card

I had seen a card on Pinterest that used the "Snowflake Splendor" Designer Series Paper (DSP) for the background and I thought I'd give it a try.  Here's what I came up with and how I did it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Highland Heather card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Snowflake Splendor" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base.

I took the die from the "Curvy Dies" set and die cut the hills from Whisper White card stock.  Then I took the one that was to be taped on top of the other one and I stamped the words from the "Snowman Season" set using Real Red ink. I had set it up in my Stamparatus and I inked and stamped it twice and the red became darker.  I do like the Real Red dark like this, it's pretty.

Then I stamped the snowman, hat and arms on a piece of Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.

I took my light Pool Party Blends Pen and colored the right sides of the snowballs. It's very light because I tried to revive my pen with some 99% rubbing alcohol but I doing that really doesn't work. You need to refill the ink (which Stampin' Up! doesn't have the refills for) or you need to buy a new pen.  And now I believe you need to purchase both light and dark at the same time.  

I punched out the snowman, had and arms. I colored the hat using Soft Sued, Garden Green, Real Red and Daffodil Delight markers.  I added a little Petal Pink to the cheeks and I was done with my coloring.  I was concerned that the snowman would get lost in the white hills but he does stand out nicely.

I glued the hat to the top of the head and I glued the arms on.  I set the snowman in place using Dimensionals.

For the final touch I added some sequins from the "Snowflake Sequins" container. I used the "Fine Tip Glue Pen" to set them in place.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun and easy card to make and I REALLY do like how the background sky looks. Such pretty DSP for that.
