The base of the card is NOT Whisper White!!! LOL Most of my cards have had white bases. But then you don't have to add a piece of Whisper White on the inside!!! It's got it's plus sides! Anyway, The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock.
Now comes the Whisper White. I cut two pieces that measured 4" x 5-1/4". I taped one to the inside of the card. I die cut the snowflake from the "Snowflake Wishes, So Many Snowflakes" bundle.
Before you tape the Balmy Blue glitter paper to the back, stamp the snowflakes. I taped first and had to be careful stamping. The snowflakes are from the "Snowflake Wishes" set and were stamped using Balmy Blue ink that I stamped once and then stamped again without inking it up again.
The words are from the same set and were stamped using Night of Navy ink.
Now here's where you'd tape on your glitter paper. I used scotch tape and then I used double-sided tape for the rest of the back of the card. I taped it onto the card base.
Then I added the rhinestones. I colored them with the dark Balmy Blue Blends pen. I SO love using those pens. They can be used for lots of things other than just coloring on card stock. You can color your rhinestones, pearls, Baker's twine and ribbon! It would be great if they sold a refill. Once the rhinestones were on the card was done.
Another tip for you here, color your rhinestones first to make sure they are dry before you add them to the finished card.
This was a super quick, easy and fun card to make. I might consider making some of these for next year's Christmas list. But maybe not, I don't like to send cards at Christmas with rhinestones or pearls on them. I run out of shirt board (cereal box type cardboard).
Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today and have a look,
Wanda
Very pretty card. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
