Once again I'm in need of a Sympathy card. So sad. My former employer's dad passed away. So here is the card that is going out in tomorrow's mail.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso.
The focal piece was cut 3-3/4" x 5". I cut two. One of those pieces I die cut an oval for a template. I used some post it note tape and taped those two pieces together.
I sponged on some Daffodil Delight first, then Crushed Curry. When I sponged on the Crushed Curry I started it up about 1/4th of the way from the bottom. I needed some of the Daffodil Delight to show. Then I sponged on some Mango Melody, leaving some of the Crushed Curry showing. And the top color is Cajun Craze. After sponging it on the top, I cam down a little with it on the sides and middle. Just to get the colors to blend better.
I removed the template and set the sponged piece in my Stamparatus and stamped the tree from the "Life is Beautiful" set using Early Espresso ink.
The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were also stamped using Early Espresso ink.
I taped the stamped piece to the Early Espresso piece and then I taped the two to the card base. And the card was done. I think it turned out nice.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
