I took three pieces of 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Whisper White card stock. I took one of the pieces and die cut the second largest triangle. The tip of the triangle is 1/2" from the top. I centered the triangle and I used Washi tape to set it in place. After die cutting the triangle I taped the two pieces together using some removable tape. I just taped the top, bottom, and sides.
Next I sponged on some Pear Pizzazz ink all over the whole open area. Then I sponged on some Old Olive. I did try to leave some of the Pear Pizzazz showing in a few spots. And then I sponged on some Mossy Meadow ink. You can see the darker areas of Mossy Meadow on the tree.
Once the sponging was done I took my damaged chalk pen and tapped on some white. I ruined my pen by using the cap to flick the tip to make spatters on a previous card. Yes, it did work and it worked nicely. But the more I flicked the more the tip of the pen started to come apart. It's not felt like the markers are. I don't know what kind of material it's made of but it's brittle and it started to shred. I kept it because it was new and I was hoping to maybe find another tip. But now I don't want to find another tip, I like this pen for tapping on my cards. I had to add the white to the tree because the tree looked too blah without something on it.
The words are from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I was going to use black ink but I thought it would be too dark. But Mossy Meadow is dark enough to pull it off.
Once the stamping was done I taped the piece to a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. I added the final 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside and the card was done.
It's very simple and perhaps it could use a trunk??? What do you think?
